Network Security and Future Networks

← Research

This area covers attacks on networks and connected devices and how to detect and limit them. Recent work includes an analysis of nearly 20 years of darknet traffic from the Merit Network Telescope and of the capture tools used to collect it, large-scale honey-nets, detecting drift between network intent and network behavior, eavesdropping and interference in Internet of Things (IoT) devices and defenses against them, machine-learning detection of attacks on industrial IoT, trust management for vehicular networks, and network slicing for Open Radio Access Network (O-RAN) and 6G systems.

Topics: network telescopes, honey-nets, IoT and industrial IoT security, O-RAN and 6G
